Somewhere just inland from the sea across rolling hills, deep in the South Devon Countryside lies a secluded riverside creek and the village of Tuckenhay. Two hundred years ago this was a bustling industrial hamlet with barges and tall-masted ships coming up to the quays that lay along the river bank. At the centre was Tuckenhay Mill, a mill producing hand-made paper of the very finest quality for artists, banknotes and indeed for Royal Proclamations. Today, still at the centre of the valley lies the Mill with its now listed buildings serving an altogether different style of life.
